About URL Encoder / Decoder

URL encoding is a technique that converts text into a format that can be safely transmitted over the Internet.

URL encoding is used to encode information in web addresses, such as passwords, usernames, etc so that it cannot be read by anyone who might intercept the data.

The URL encoder converts all characters to their corresponding hexadecimal value. The URL decoder does the opposite and converts all hexadecimal values back to their corresponding character.

URL encoding is the process of transforming text into a format that can be safely transported over the internet.

It replaces unsafe characters with their hexadecimal equivalents so that the text can be properly interpreted by web browsers and other applications.

URL encoding is most commonly used when transmitting data over a URL.

This could be in the form of a query string, or as part of an HTTP header. By using URL encoding, you can ensure that any unsafe characters are properly handled by the receiving application.

To encode a piece of text, simply replace any unsafe characters with their hexadecimal equivalents.

For example, the letter "a" would be replaced with ")", and the letter "z" would be replaced with "&#5A;".

To decode a piece of text, simply reverse the process, replacing the hexadecimal values with their corresponding characters.

The following characters are allowed in a URL:

A-Z a-z0-9_.-
